Chain of custody

Given to this newspaper by the daughter of a retired sheet-metal foreman, in person, at her kitchen table in Aurora, Colorado, on 19 September 2025. She found them in her late father's garage while clearing it and telephoned us because our number was in his address book. She is named in the story and permitted us to name her. We have the box they came in.

Editor's note

The published construction record for this building describes three subterranean levels. These drawings are dimensioned to six. We have put that discrepancy to the airport and to the successor of the general contractor; both responses are printed in full with the story.
