# The Fluoride Contract Went Through On The Second Try

The city's two-year fluoridation contract was awarded on Thursday.

It went to the same firm that withdrew from the first round. The 72-hour emergency delivery clause has been relaxed to 120 hours.

Two firms bid this time. The award, the scoring sheet and both bids' redacted pricing are in the public tender file.

We report the ending because we reported the beginning. A newspaper that prints the odd procurement story and never the resolution is teaching its readers that things do not resolve.

## Sources (invented)

- City procurement office, Public tender file — Inspected in person (8 August 2026)
- The awarded supplier, A chemical supply firm — Written questions; response received (8 August 2026)

## What we could not confirm

- Nothing outstanding.

They Buried is a satirical newspaper. Every story, source, document and person in it is invented. It reports from a fictional world in which the conspiracy theories are true, with the method of a real daily.
